Internships will run between January 19th through April 15th, 2027 with a minimum 20 hours per week and flexible scheduling.


Internship Learning Objectives

• Gain hands-on experience in professional client relations within a public accounting setting
• Develop an understanding of various software and tools that are used by the firm to prepare client returns
• Gain a further understanding of the IRS code and preparation of individual, business and trust tax returns for clients
• Learn the process of completing a tax return from inquiry, gathering information, client follow-up, and completion of the tax return
• Understand how a firm trains its personnel and how training enhances work requirements
• Develop a skillset of gathering questions and asking appropriate personnel for assistance
• Develop skills required to interact with other professionals at varying levels (staff, managers or partners)
• Develop time management skills and the ability to be responsible for more than one project at a time. Also, develop organizational skills of tracking time when working on a project
• Weekly team meetings, panels, lunches and trainings to provide insight on the accounting profession
• No experience necessary we will train the right candidates

Desired Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing a BS or MS in accounting or taxation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail and goal oriented
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Willingness and desire to learn
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
